Six Large Sugar Pine Cones from the Sierra Nevadas in Lake Tahoe. VINTAGE!!!  Back in the 80s I gathered up about a half a dozen large pinecones before moving back east. I had them packed away all these years and I’m now downsizing. They measure between 10 and 11 inches and they are about 13 inches plus in circumference. One of them has a stem and they are, of course, very old. They are so beautiful! Condition is "New". Shipped with USPS Priority Mail.
SALE!!!  Direct from the "manufacturer".  From a PINE tree that is!  The Central Coast of California is "blessed" with pretty intense wind storms on occasion,  and this is part of the "windfall", so to speak. Just about as fresh from the tree as it is possible to get. 8 fresh, clean, inspected, large size, golden brown knob cone (knobcone) pine cones.  The shortest are 4-1/2" long and more than an inch in diameter; the longest are about 5" in length (and 2" in diameter). and the rest fall between those two sizes. This is a good size for many different jewelry pieces.  All are tightly closed, perfect for making jewelry and all are checked to ensure they don't have insect damage.  These are all gold in color.  Nearly all have varying amounts of pitch on the outside (the white coloring), ranging from no pitch at all, to some that have more.  which shouldn't be a problem for jewelry and I believe can be removed with solvent or gentle media blasting.  Some still have bits of stems on, perfect for "bird beaks".   The cones shown are the ones that will ship in this lot.  I have other cones listed, both smaller and larger in size, as well as in larger and smaller quantities.  These cones are from the central California coast mountains and are nowhere near any sort of toxic pesticide spray and have only been handled to collect them.  I guarantee the cones to be the ones shown and described, but nothing beyond that. They ship "as-is",  to any U.S. zip code, in a box, each cone separated by paper from other cones to prevent contact damage,  priority and insured, for .00.  (Local pickup always allowed) U.S. shipments only due to the complications of shipping wood products to other countries.     No returns since pine cones don't exactly have serial numbers!   Feel free to ask questions or for other photo views.  No reserve.
